This year has been incredible — filled with school fairs, conferences, festivals, and family events across Georgia and beyond! Everywhere we go, families, teachers, and children connect with our mission: to inspire and empower through representation and reading. (Upcoming 2025 Events will be added after being completed). March

·       2025 Georgia Charter School Conference
📍 Atlanta, GA | 🗓️ March 11–12, 2025
Educators, administrators, and community leaders explored how representation in literature strengthens student engagement and learning. Our booth showcased 65+ diverse children’s books and animated stories.

·       Read, Write, & Rhyme Conference
📍 March 22, 2025
A creative literacy event focused on rhythm, poetry, and reading. Our Children Read connected with teachers, families, and aspiring authors to encourage storytelling and early literacy.


April

·       Bullseye Black Market (New Birth Church)
📍 Lithonia, GA | 🗓️ April 18–20, 2025
A three-day vendor market celebrating Black entrepreneurship and creativity. We shared our mission with hundreds of attendees and introduced new titles from the Lessons Learned from the Bible Series.


May

·       Ultimate Atlanta Women’s Expo
📍 Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, GA | 🗓️ May 3–4, 2025
A weekend empowering women in business, health, and education. Attendees were inspired by Our Children Read’s mission to build self-confidence and literacy in the next generation.

·       NAACP Juneteenth Celebration

A vibrant day of culture and unity! Families celebrated freedom, heritage, and the power of Black storytelling.

·       DELTA STEAM Academy Summer Block Party

A fun-filled event combining literacy, science, and creativity.

·       SpelHouse Alumni Picnic

Morehouse and Spelman alumni gathered for a day of fellowship and family fun.

·       The Happy Black Parent Children’s Book Festival

Families met authors, purchased books, and supported literacy initiatives.

·       1st Annual Our Children Read Book Fair Tour (Kickoff)

The launch of our literacy tour — featuring 13 vendors, storytime sessions, and community activities.

A celebration of family, faith, and unity — with books that strengthen hearts and homes.
