    • The Hardwood Classic 2026
      📍 Atlanta Metropolitan State College Gym, Atlanta, GA | 🗓️ January 17, 2026
      A high-energy youth basketball event that brought together families, athletes, and community supporters from across the region. Our Children Read engaged attendees with empowering children’s books that promote confidence, discipline, teamwork, and excellence both on and off the court.
    • Black Beauty Expo
      📍 Georgia International Convention Center, College Park, GA | 🗓️ January 18, 2026
      A premier cultural celebration of beauty, entrepreneurship, and community. Families visited the Our Children Read booth to purchase books and merchandise that uplift, inspire, and reinforce positive self-image and representation for young readers.
    • The Flourish Homeschool Conference
      📍 Seventh-day Adventist Church, 4001 Macedonia Rd., Atlanta, GA | 🗓️ January 29–30, 2026
      A dynamic two-day conference serving homeschooling families and educators. Our Children Read connected with parents, teachers, and students by showcasing diverse, faith-aligned books and literacy resources designed to build confidence and a love of reading at home and in the classroom.

    🌟 March 2026 — A Month of Momentum

    March was a powerful month of connection, growth, and community engagement for Our Children Read. In just a few short weeks, we reached homeschool families, festival audiences, church communities, and marketplace attendees across Georgia — all united by a shared belief in the importance of literacy, representation, and positive storytelling.

    • Mini Book Fair & Reading – EPIC Homeschool Network (Read Across America Day)

      Our Children Read helped homeschool families celebrate Read Across America Day with a live reading and mini book fair. Students were excited to discover stories that build confidence, spark imagination, and reinforce the joy of reading.

      Families and educators warmly welcomed Our Children Read at this vibrant community festival. Many visitors expressed how meaningful it was to see books that truly reflect their children’s experiences, culture, and potential.

      This dynamic marketplace provided another opportunity to connect directly with the community. Our Children Read made valuable new connections with families, educators, and supporters — and experienced strong book sales as attendees eagerly purchased stories that inspire confidence, culture, and purpose in children.

    🌟 April 2026 — Building the Movement

    April continued the momentum as Our Children Read expanded its reach across major marketplaces and community events. The energy, support, and love from families showed that this mission is not just growing — it’s becoming a movement.

    • Bullseye Black Market – Easter Weekend

      What an incredible weekend! From Day 1 through the final day, the love and support from families was undeniable. Attendees showed up in a major way — purchasing books, engaging in meaningful conversations, and embracing the importance of representation in children’s literature.
      📚 Seeing children excited about reading and seeing themselves reflected in our stories meant everything.
    • Pittsburgh Community Market

      While this was a smaller event, the impact was powerful. Every conversation, every connection, and every book placed into the hands of a child mattered. Families who attended truly connected with our mission and expressed how much they loved our books.

      One of the largest and most influential events of the year, bringing together thousands of attendees from across the country. Our Children Read proudly showcased books that promote self-love, confidence, and cultural pride. Families were excited to discover stories that reflect their children’s beauty, brilliance, and potential.
